When in Rome...

When i was in Rome I did as the Romans. I ate Chocolate Cake. Here in the US it seems everywhere you go now days uses some kind of processed cake mix. Sure the cakes taste moist and delicious but in the back of my pallet I always thought they were missing something. Walking the streets if Italy made me realize that the way we do food here in the US is strange. We like to add all kind of chemicals to the food so they can sit in huge grocery stores waiting to be bought. Sure it tastes like cake but is it? In Rome when you walked by a bakery you see people in the windows giving love to their creations. They care about making the finest most chocolaty delicious cake ever. They don't use cake mixes or prepackaged frosting. The cake I had in Rome was the finest memory I keep with me today. Even more so than the Coliseum or the Vatican.

There was a time when saying Sanguiphoria sounded strange and foreign. Today though the name Sanguiphoria brings memories of great times in a guild that is family. Our guild is just like the cake I had in Rome. Once you've tried it and found what we're about and met the people in it you can't enjoy another guild the same way. We are a family here. In the months leading up to games we will be playing together lets not forget that. Sometimes getting to the top tier in a game for the glory and recognition seems like it is important. But that is just the game feeding you processed food. The game tastes better when your playing with your guildmates.

Sanguiphoria's First High Council

Congratulations are in order!

Sanguiphoria has officially established its first High Council, this, the Eleventh day of February, 2009. Although we have seen many days in the past of strife and countless governments, it is believed that this day we have achieved something we have dreamed about for ages. Our community is no longer a guild, but we are a family. As a family our bonds have grown stronger than any of us would have ever imagined.

Although we had few applications for the new positions within the High Council of Sanguiphoria, it was without a doubt ordained by the forces of evil itself who would come forward. Some of them were once leaders within this guild themselves, and some have had the ability to do so for years and are finally coming forward to take that responsibility.

The first to recognize is Brock (Rocqu). A man who has dedicated more time than most to keep this guild informed on everything we have ever been associated with. It is no surprise then that when the position of Herald was created, Brock would be the perfect fit. With both the experience of leadership within the guild as well as his phenomenal ability to present the news, he was, and is, the man for the job.

Next we recognize Mike (Talborn). This is a man who has more knowledge on the lore of Star Wars then just about anyone we know. Even on the official forums he has wowed the population with his ability to construct posts about understanding and acquiring lore knowledge. Thus, when we needed someone to be our Roleplay Warden and Lore Master, it was no surprise to see his name nominated.

Next we recognize Jake (Shamius). This is a man who has been there for the guild in more ways then we can count. He has been a leader within this guild both in, and outside of, the upper tier officer ranks. When we have needed him most he has shown with enthusiasm, responsibility, and dedication to creating a home for all of us. When we needed someone to fill the position of Emissary, it was no surprise that he applied instantly. It is after all, his area of expertise.

Lastly we recognize Roger (Radiick). No one in this guild would ever doubt that Roger is the heart and soul of all that is Sanguiphoria. We joke and play around with each other on a daily basis, but Roger has turned this guild into the strongest family some of us have ever known. He has been with us since the start, and has been a major advocate for everything Sanguiphoria. When the positions for High Council were filled, Roger came to us with a desire to serve this guild with all of his heart, and we could never turn down an offer such as this. Master Chief, we welcome you.

Although your name may not be on this list, do not think we are not aware of your loyalties and dedications. Many of you, nay, all of you, are family. Our bonds are stronger than any guild on this earth can claim to be. We have come here with a similar cause and found friends that will last until the end of our days, and that my friends is very rare. So screw humility friends, with the pride that only Sanguiphoria can grant you, rise up, and cheer for our new High Council. May they serve you as they have in the past, and make you welcomed as you have always been.

HORAH! And Welcome, Sanguiphoria's First High Council.
